The accordion fold, also called a concertina, is a simple but versatile structure. This particular accordion book, shown here, is one of the very first bookmaking structures that I learned more than ten years ago. I’m especially fond of this style as it allows the book to be viewed in a traditional turn-the-page format, but it can also be opened up to display the full length. Definitely a contender for a Bound in Japan workshop.
